Palin Camp Rips Limbaugh, Hits His “Retard” Comment As “Crude And Demeaning”.

When Rahm Emanuel called the liberal activist strategy on health care, “f–king retarded" Sarah Palin called for him to be fired.

So, many people were fascinated at what she as going to say when Rush Limbaugh came out with this:

“Our political correct society is acting like some giant insult’s taken place by calling a bunch of people who are retards, retards,” Rush said, adding that Rahm’s meeting yesterday with advocates for the mentally handicapped was a “retard summit at the White House.”

Her spokeswoman has since issued a statement:
“Governor Palin believes crude and demeaning name calling at the expense of others is disrespectful.”
Okay, so she has said that Rush's words were "crude and demeaning", but I note that she is not calling for him to be fired. That's a punishment which she appears to think only Emanuel deserves.

Funny that...

Once again, I would make the distinction between a public official and a talk show host, although in this case I don't think either of them should be fired.

I think disapproval covers situations like this, we don't need outrage, torches, or pitchforks.

I agree. I simply found it interesting that she called for no punishment of Limbaugh, whilst calling for the firing of Emanuel.

It's the kind of hypocrisy which these people routinely display.
