Someone Finally Gets Fired Over NY Post Chimp Cartoon -- But Who?
Someone has finally been fired for that dreadful NY Post cartoon which appeared to portray Barack Obama as a monkey.
But you'll never guess who they fired...
"The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness." - John Kenneth Galbraith.

That is why the greatest danger of all is to allow new walls to divide us from one another.
The walls between old allies on either side of the Atlantic cannot stand. The walls between the countries with the most and those with the least cannot stand. The walls between races and tribes; natives and immigrants; Christian and Muslim and Jew cannot stand. These now are the walls we must tear down.

Rupert Murdoch's empire needs to be taken down. A good start would be revocation of his U.S. citizenship, which he obviously got only so that he could set up a network in the U.S.
Not that I think this will ever happen.
I think Olbermann has a very good take on this when he states that Murdoch would back the Democrats "in a nano second" if he thought it would make him money.
Here in the UK, as soon as he could see Labour in the ascendency, he dumped the Tories and backed Labour. Recently, he has gone back the other way but, for the last thirteen years, The Sun has supported progressive politics.
In fact, I read in this month's Vanity Fair that Murdoch is kicking himself for not backing Obama.
He goes where he thinks the profit is. He's got even fewer morals than we thought.
