Rachel Maddow Exposes More Health Reform Fear Merchants.

Rachel Maddow, again, looks into who is behind this astroturfing. She looks here at the Sixty Plus Association, and the people who are funding it.

They claim to be a "non partisan seniors advocacy group", but the truth is that - as AARP found recently when it investigated Sixty Plus - "all of their largest contributions in recent years have come from the same source -- the nation's pharmaceutical industry."

Then there's this:

(Incidentally, 60 Plus has long been known as a go-to group for conservative causes—Jack Abramoff once instructed an Indian tribe to donate to the organization, saying that it would help garner support for their legislative causes with the House GOP leadership.)
So, donating to 60 Plus, according to Abramoff, would help "garner support" within the House GOP leadership, and yet we are asked to believe that 60 Plus is "non partisan"?

How dumb would anyone have to be to believe that? It's yet more proof that this is not a grassroots outrage, it's utterly manufactured by the very companies who profiteer from the present system.
