Coulter: There's Nothing Harder In The World Than Being A Black Republican!

As I have always said, the Republicans were always likely to split into factions as soon as they lost the last election. And, as O'Reilly points out here, even people like Colin Powell state that the Ann Coulter and Sarah Palin wing of the Republican party are what is wrong with the GOP. The lunatics are now running the party.

Coulter, as is to be expected, pops up here to claim that the reason the Republicans lost is because they are not right wing enough. This is exactly what happened to the Labour party in the UK in the eighties. And it was what I always thought would happen to the GOP. The moderates have fled from that party and they are now left with only 24% of the public willing to identify themselves openly with their radical agenda. Coulter's solution? They should move further to the right!

It's insanity. But it's the logical conclusion of eight years of Bush rule. Bush excited the lunatics and drove away the moderates. But the lunatics believe that they enjoyed eight years of power because of the way Bush governed. So they seek more of the same.

Coulter now states that Sarah Palin is the person she would vote for in 2012. Indeed, that she actually voted for Palin rather than McCain in the last election.

And she dismisses the fact that Colin Powell sees people like her as what is wrong with the current Conservative movement with the phrase, "There is nothing harder than being a black Republican".

She then fantastically claims that half of the male hosts on Fox News "have been waterboarded on TV".

Coulter simply doesn't get the fact that her extremism, like the extremism of Limbaugh and O'Reilly, is the problem of the current GOP. Ann's hatred might sell books to the fanatical few who still call themselves Republicans, but it remains unhinged nonsense to most rational people.

It says something about how these people are talking to themselves that O'Reilly congratulates Coulter for suggesting that she could somehow "abort" her interviewer. I mean, that's not scientifically possible, so why is O'Reilly saying, "I think you got her there."

These two people come across as insane. And they are the current face of the GOP. Watch as O'Reilly and Coulter laugh about "the list of people I'd like to have" waterboarded.

The Republicans are f#cked.

"If we took away women's right to vote, we'd never have to worry about another Democrat president. It's kind of a pipe dream, it's a personal fantasy of mine, but I don't think it's going to happen. And it is a good way of making the point that women are voting so stupidly, at least single women.

It also makes the point, it is kind of embarrassing, the Democratic Party ought to be hanging its head in shame, that it has so much difficulty getting men to vote for it. I mean, you do see it’s the party of women and 'We’ll pay for health care and tuition and day care -- and here, what else can we give you, soccer moms?'" -Anne Coulter
And now she would like to vote for a woman? Interesting.

Good point SP. She's a dreadful person and she's implying that other women are much more emotional and sentimental than she is.

She, like Thatcher, feels she can prove her worth by being more masculine than her male counterparts.

And, in her mind, masculinity means cutting out any sense of empathy she might feel. Empathy, in this mindset, equals weakness.
