Was Bush Lying When He Said We Don't Torture?

Fleischer appears to be throwing down the gauntlet, asking who will people prosecute if they insist that the Bush regime engaged in torture.

And Fleischer's silence, when confronted with the fact that past American administration's had executed people for participating in the very actions which the Bush administration took part in, is extremely telling.

Fleischer is attempting to make the argument that Democrats are also guilty of the crimes of the Bush years. It's a very strange defence to mount.

And the central question, over whether or not Bush lied when he said the US did not torture, appears to have been answered by the recently released OLC memos. If anyone can read what was authorised and state that they not think that this amounted to torture, then one would have to conclude that torture no longer exists.
