Bush White House Collected & Destroyed Dissenting Opinion Torture Memos.

The fact that the Bush administration destroyed any memos which opposed their views regarding how one could legally torture prisoners, certainly seems to uphold the opinion that the Bush administration were less interested in seeking the correct legal position, and were more interested in getting legal cover for what they wanted to do.

And the fact that they sought to find and destroy every single copy of this alternative opinion, leads me to believe that they wanted to imply that the advice they received from Yoo was the only advice obtainable.

And it's fascinating that even Zelikow is now stating that this is a matter for the Department of Justice and that they should follow the evidence where it leads. He is almost calling for an investigation to be launched.
