Bachmann Says Her Statements About Obama Are "Urban Legend."
Michelle Bachmann continues to deny what she said to Chris Matthews, despite the fact that the entire conversation was taped and broadcast.
It takes a certain kind of sociopath to be able to convince oneself of something where there is irrefutable evidence to the contrary. And yet there she sits, on national television, simply telling lies. And not subtle ones. Big fat juicy porky ones.
It's astonishing that, in any democracy, this utter moron could be chosen to represent other people.
Here's what she actually said:
Here's the important bit:
Matthews: You believe that Barack Obama may have anti-American views? This woman is a liar. And the notion that Obama got an easy ride compared to McCain is simply a joke. For example, did you read about this during the campaign?
Bachmann: Absolutely. I am very concerned that he may have anti-American views.
Bachmann is blatantly bonkers and an embarrassment to the Republican party. What the Hell am I talking about? People like her are what is left of the Republican party. As McCain's campaign amply demonstrated, it's become a party of deeply dishonest and unhinged loons...
Today, David Frum left The National Review. Even former Bush speech writers are becoming too embarrassed to remain within this extremely nutty tent.
