MCCAIN, OBAMA ASKED ABOUT INFIDELITY....

Katie Couric asks both Obama and McCain why political figures risk so much by committing adultery.

Obama gives a very funny answer about being too frightened to even pick his nose in public because he assumes everyone is watching him.

McCain essentially declines to comment, quoting scripture, but really dodging the question.

He does so because he is the first ever known adulterer to win a major-party nomination in American history.

McCain turned his back on his wife after she was seriously injured in a car accident, committed adultery, and left the mother of his children when he found a younger, wealthier woman. Worse, McCain fudged the details his own memoir, explaining that he was separated from his first wife before he began dating his second wife. He wasn't. He also insisted he'd been divorced for months before remarrying. That wasn't true, either -- the article explained, "McCain obtained an Arizona marriage license on March 6, 1980, while still legally married to his first wife." Just five weeks separated his divorce from his second marriage.
It's no wonder that McCain isn't keen to engage on this subject. If Obama had the history which McCain has, the Republicans would be all over it like a rash.

"OBAMA PICKS HIS NOSE IN PUBLIC, IN SECRET! DO YOU REALLY WANT THAT KIND OF DIRTY BEHAVIOR REPRESENTING OUR GREAT AMERICAN HEALTH CARE SYSTEM?!"

McCain's answer was dodgy, yes, but it's true what he says about the Bible's admonition against judging. Not that he hasn't violated that Law countless times. You have to, I guess, when you're trying to run a 24/7 phone smear campign.

I think the media have been very kind to McCain on that front. I wonder if McCain would be as kind to Obama if he had committed adultery? I think we both know the answer to that one!
