Miss Daisy chides Obama.

I seriously doubt that many people will need the help of David Gergen to work out the subtext to this particular McCain ad:

ANNCR: He was the world's biggest celebrity, but his star's fading. So they lashed out at Sarah Palin. Dismissed her as "good looking." That backfired, so they said she was doing, "what she was told." Then desperately called Sarah Palin a liar.

How disrespectful.

And how Governor Sarah Palin proves them wrong, every day.

JOHN MCCAIN: I'm John McCain and I approved this message.
Leaving aside the fact that they called her a liar because she hasn't stopped lying since she hit the national stage, is there anyone who doesn't get the tone of that "disrespectful" line? I haven't heard anyone even speak that way since "Gone With The Wind" and "Driving Miss Daisy".

I mean, what's next? Is she going to threaten to take him outside and give him a damn good thrashing?

This isn't even subtle. It's a frying pan in the face.

P.S. Note how they begin the ad talking about "he" and, thereafter, move to "they". This is the technique they use to put other people's words into Obama's mouth.
