Gergen Defends Palin.
Gergen does his best to defend Palin by claiming that she did know what the Bush Doctrine was, but that the term "Bush Doctrine" was simply unfamiliar to her. I strongly disagree as she spoke of self defence in the event of an imminent attack. The need for imminence is the very thing that the Bush Doctrine dismissed.
Gergen is at least honest enough to admit that he has not seen the footage, I would argue that anyone who saw the footage would clearly conclude that she was caught out, and not just on that question.
