Barack Obama: They Don't Have An Agenda To Run On
Obama has the right idea. Keep to the issues as they don't have any. McCain's speech was proof of that.

That is why the greatest danger of all is to allow new walls to divide us from one another.
The walls between old allies on either side of the Atlantic cannot stand. The walls between the countries with the most and those with the least cannot stand. The walls between races and tribes; natives and immigrants; Christian and Muslim and Jew cannot stand. These now are the walls we must tear down.

He's mature, he's gentlemanly, he's reasonable, he's intelligent. None of that will help much for at least half the American people, unfortunately.
But he has for the first time ever broke through the 50% barrier.
And the Republicans simply don't have a coherent agenda that they are running on. They are hoping to win this election on personal stories.
Did you see McCain's speech to conference last night? I was almost dumbstruck by how bad it was.
Didnt see it or hear it (some of us have night jobs)(and dont care what the Republican candidate says unless its "I give up, you win"). But I heard press coverage after it, and it was mighty luke-warm for folks all caught up in the affair the way reporters usually are at something like this.
Even Malkin had to admit that it wasn't very good. Which was being kind in the extreme.
It was simply bloody awful.
