Pelosi states that Judiciary Committee will not vote on impeachment.

Pelosi appears to be falling over herself to make sure that George Bush is not impeached. The latest is that the House Judiciary Committee will hear arguments about impeachment but it won't vote on whether or not to impeach.

When history records the attack on the democratic process that this administration embarked on, it really should reserve a good few chapters for discussion of how the Democratic party wilfully assisted in the process.

Pelosi has made her mind up before even hearing the evidence of Bush's crimes.

they must be covering for something/one/people..

it's funny how this daily kos' netroots attempt to put the Democrats' feet to the fire is such a waste of time.. they could, instead be gearing all their energy towards a viable third party option which would have the morals and gumption to not play along with the other two..

The Democrats are a simply spineless bunch. Pelosi announced months ago that they would not impeach Bush because Cheney was Vice President and he would be even worse. I thought laws worked on principles and ignored such matters, but apparently not.

if anything, with Cheney taking over, people would see where the origin of 'evil' was from. It would have made people more determined NOT to have a neocon in office, and I'm sure that would include all the other republicans who've seen their party hijacked by these ultra nutjobs..

Agreed. Though I do think the Republicans are dead on their feet this time around. And I hope that's not wishful thinking.
