Brazile: Hillary's supporters are"uncivil, repugnant and vile".

As Hillary enjoyed her expected win in West Virginia, Obama had his eyes on the November election by going to Missouri, showing that he is comfortable enough with his predicted victory to concentrate on the task ahead of beating McCain.

And the polls certainly say that he is currently on target to do that:

A nationwide poll yesterday for the Washington Post and ABC News put Obama on 51% to McCain's 44%. The poll suggested that McCain is suffering from the uncertainty among Americans about the poor economic outlook.

Of those polled, 53% said they trusted the Democrats to do a better job of dealing with the country's problems over the next few years compared with 32% for the Republicans.

This fact will no doubt enrage the Hillary supporters, who are becoming more deranged by the day, firing off emails to super delegates, demanding that the wishes of the electorate be overturned. Taylor Marsh - will this woman ever regain her credibility after this election? - highlighted a response from Donna Brazile to yet another email from a Clinton supporter demanding that she vote for Hillary. Miss Brazile stated:
Thanks Natalie, As of today, I am not going to respond to any more anti American, Anti Democratic emails. Have a nice day.

I am sorry because you are sincere, but the Hillary forces are uncivil, repugnant and vile. When you come up for air and would like to email a person who cares about America and not just a personality, I will respond.
What the Hell are the Hillary supporters doing to make Brazile call them "uncivil, repugnant and vile"? A cursory read of Marsh's comment section certainly leads one to believe that they have become almost deranged in their determination that their candidate must be the chosen leader of the Democratic party or, in their opinion, the Democratic party itself should be damned.

It's a strange Democrat who cares more about their own candidate than the party itself, and anyone who would say that they would vote for McCain rather than Obama really shouldn't consider themselves a Democrat at all.

In this country I had many problems with Tony Blair - who I considered Tory-lite - but the notion that I would actually vote for the Tories rather than Blair would simply never have occurred to me.

And yet, there are groups of people, claiming to be Democrats, claiming to be opposed to the Iraq war, who would vote for a man who has made that very war central to his election campaign.

That is beyond deluded. That is, as Brazile states, "repugnant and vile".

I would hope that the people who vote Democrat do so on a point of principle, not simply because they like the candidate or want to see a woman in the White House. They should vote Democrat because they oppose the war, they oppose the overturning of Roe versus Wade and a host of other issues which define a person as a Democrat.

A group of Hillary supporters are threatening to vote for a man who stands against all of the principles which define a Democrat. Their argument used to be that Hillary was the best person to beat McCain, it makes a mockery of that argument to now argue that they intend to vote for McCain themselves.

I have always said that I would have happily watched Clinton enter the White House. What matters here is that the US admits that the Bush years were an aberration and that the US, once again, embraces international law and is willing to lead the world community rather than attempting to force the world to accept it's dictate.

I am saddened that many Hillary supporters appear to have a much narrower goal. And I hold Hillary personally responsible for ever allowing things to become so polarised. Had she stepped down after Texas and Ohio, as she should have done when victory became impossible for her, this rift would never have grown into the chasm which now engulfs the party.

Hillary bears the brunt of the blame for all that is happening, and Miss Brazile is spot on when she describes what Hillary's supporters are doing as "uncivil, repugnant and vile".

A cursory tour of Marsh's comments section reveals that to be simply a matter of fact.
