Enron boss gets 24-year sentence
So Skilling remained defiant and bloody minded to the bitter end. When he was sentenced to 24 years behind bars for his role in the greatest corporate scandal in American history, Skilling said:
"In terms of remorse your honour, I can't imagine more remorse," Skilling told the court before he was sentenced. So what's he got to feel remorseful about, if he's completely innocent of the charges against him? I can't imagine feeling remorseful for something I haven't done.
"That being said your honour, I am innocent of these charges."
And just to illustrate the mindset that corrupted the entire organisation, here Jon Stewart listens to the tapes of some of the conversations Enron employees had while California endured an Enron inspired energy crisis.

Hi Kel,
Have you seen the film, Enron, The Smartest Guys in the Room? If you haven't, find it. It'll curl your toes and make you shake your head about how this prick can stand there and say he is innocent. Hopefully, we won't have to see this jerk-off for a very long time.
Bhc,
Funny enough I watched it only the other night. It was very much on my mind when I was making this post!
