Pelosi: NO Impeachment
Am I losing the plot here? Why on God's Earth would Pelosi promise not to impeach a man who's illegal war has resulted in the deaths of 2,500 Americans? Is that a lesser crime than Bill's blow job?

The reason why Pelosi has made such a gaffe is exposed in this article by Glenn Greenwald, which must have been written before Pelosi made her promise. He spells out the wall of secrecy behind which the Republican Party have been operating and insists that only through proper investigations will we ever learn what they have really been up to. How can Pelosi promise not to impeach before she even knows what they have been doing? It's mind numbingly dumb...

Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (Calif.) told her caucus members during their weekly closed meeting Wednesday that impeachment is off the table; she is not interested in pursuing it.
When she said that in May, I obviously missed it, or I would have been outraged by it then.
I have only just become aware of this and find it an appalling stance to take.
