Tony Blankley: United Nations is "anti-Semitic"

Tony Blankley explains why the war must go on. "Israel must always be seen to be invincible". Oh, and anyone at the UN who objects is obviously an anti-Semite. Indeed, the whole organisation is anti-Semitic.

Do Israel's supporters never tire of throwing this foul charge?

I didn't know if you had seen this yet, but I thought it might be something you would want to write about.

It is too dumb to dignify response to such idiocy..these kinds of blatant attempts to shut people up criticizing Israel will actually provide such a backlash and irritate people to no end, that that will make some people hate Israel or Jews. How will that help anything?

Cyberotter,

Thanks for that, I was unaware of that story as I seem to be obsessed with Lebanon at the moment. I'll certainly consider spouting on that subject!

Ingrid,

You've hit the nail on the head. Anti-Semitism is a vile cancer that exists and is very dangerous. However, the more the charge is bandied about as a way of ending any legitimate criticism of Israeli policies, then the less power the charge possesses. And that's dangerous for Israel and the Jews in the Diaspora.
