Israel Plans to Remain in Lebanon Until Force Arrives

Israel will keep troops in the area “until the multinational force arrives, even if that takes months,” the Israeli general said, speaking to an Israeli parliamentary committee. His remarks were broadcast on radio.
Call me an old cynic, but I somehow don't buy a word of that. Having failed to achieve their objectives after Israelis spent a month in bunkers, I somehow don't imagine Israeli mothers want their sons there a second longer than they need be.

More large talk to hide the reality of the defeat on the ground. The truth is they are already pulling out - long before ANY replacements have arrived on the ground.
