Matthews on Gingrich's "Kenyan, anti-colonial behavior" remark: "There's something really un-American about this stuff".
Gingrich is playing to the birther extremists in the base of his party. It's as bonkers as it is disgusting.
And, as is pointed out here, this says more about the fears and the mindset of the Republican party than anything it says about Barack Obama.
