Sherrod: "I really think I should" consider a defamation suit against Breitbart.

Here, Anderson Cooper condemns Breitbart for releasing a video "clearly edited to deceive and slander Miss Sherrod. [...] But watching him try to weasle his way out taking responsibility for what he did to Miss Sherrod today is a classic example of what is wrong with our national discourse."

He also mocks Breitbart's claim that other people made this about Shirley Sherrod, because, as Cooper says, "That's like the arsonist saying 'I'm sorry Ma'am about the water damage caused by the firefighters.' He started the fire."

The people present when Sherrod gave her speech have come out to say that the audience did not applaud racism as Breitbart has since claimed.

As Hal Pressley says here, "That gentleman, he is in sinking sand. Whatever he tried to accomplish is unfolding on him. What do you expect him to do?"

Indeed, Breitbart's reasoning has been changing daily. He started by claiming that there was clear racism in the words of Sherrod and ended by claiming that the video had nothing to do with her and that it was the crowd he wanted us to look at.

Well, we've looked - and now we've heard from them - and Breitbart's story really isn't stacking up. There is no applause as Breitbart claimed. None.

Now Shirley Sherrod says she is considering suing him.

"That's one person I would like to get back at. Because he came for me."
Who could blame her?

I'd love it if she sued him.
