Lawmaker calls candidate a 'raghead' on Internet show.

Oh, dear. Every so often some Republican nutcase simply says what is on his mind.

Lexington state Sen. Jake Knotts, who is up against Republican gubernatorial candidate Nikki Haley; who was raised as a Sikh, but converted to Methodist and has said she attends both services, managed to enrage Knotts to such a degree that he came out with this:

“We already got one raghead in the White House,” Knotts said. “We don’t need another in the Governor’s Mansion.”

He claims it's a joke which has been "lost in translation". Can you ever imagine making such a joke? Or using such incendiary language?
