I expressed my astonishment at the time Obama said that he was going to allow oil exploration along the US East Coast.He's shelved these plans now that disaster has hit and one can only hope that he will explore safer greener technology in place of this kind of madness. This rig is drilling so deep down that there is a chance they will simply have to let it empty itself of all of it's oil before this is over.
The "Drill, baby, drill" crowd now have the audacity to try to lay the blame for this at Obama's door. It's simply a further indication of how shameless they are.
