Trying To Water Down Justice Report On Torture.

Bybee, Yoo and Bradbury are now campaigning behind the scenes to try and have a report into their actions, "watered down". A strange choice of phrase, but it is the actual one used.

As Turley now states, "We have a government that is acting like it is the Mob in New Jersey" and he, rightly, bemoans the fact that the Bush administration are, in effect, investigating themselves, so we should not be surprised that they think no prosecution should be brought here.

But Turley does bring up a more astonishing thing which is the fact that these war crimes are being discussed so openly and yet there is still no public outcry for prosecutions. Indeed, Yoo, Bybee and Bradbury are campaigning to try and stop the report even suggesting that they should be dealt with by their local bar associations.

They really want to walk away from this Scot free. That cannot be allowed. I really wonder what has happened to the US since 9-11 that the public haven't rounded on these people and demanded that they be prosecuted. The US have war criminals in their midst and they appear not to care.
