Did America Lose It's Moral High Ground With The Bush Torture Policies?

Here the BBC discuss the fact that Cheney continually breaks protocol by attacking Obama for implementing the policies on which he ran and on which he was elected.

Here, Tedd Koppel argues that there needs to be a definition of torture and it needs to be set in stone rather quickly and enforced through prosecutions. He suggests a rather simple way to define it, if it's something which you would object to were it done to one of your soldiers, then you shouldn't do it to other people.

"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." Luckily, President Bush was a religious man, so I'm sure he embraced that philosophy, right?
