If You're Gonna Have Tea Bagging All Over the Country, You're Gonna Need A Dick Armey!
One of the things I find oddest about the Republicans is the fact that they are so infantile and childish in making their views known. Their latest form of protest, tea bagging, really makes the point for me. Here we have a group of people, encouraged by the Republicans and their talking heads at Fox News, complaining that Obama is lowering most of their taxes and raising the taxes of the rich to 10% lower than the tax they paid under their hero, Ronald Reagan.
But what's astonishing is the way Fox News have thrown themselves into the tea bagging protest.
They are not simply reporting the news, but they are actually encouraging their viewers to participate; indeed, Fox and the GOP are really behind this event, whilst pretending that this comes from the grass roots.
And where the grass roots are coming from on this astonishes me. Most of these people look as if they are blue collar workers to me, and yet Fox - like the GOP in every election - actually manages to persuade some working class people to come out onto the streets to fight for the rights of the rich to pay less tax. That astounds me.
