Douglas Feith Expects Obama To Tell Spain Back Off On War Crimes Charges.

Lawrence Wilkerson famously agreed with the description of Douglas Feith as "the stupidest fucking man on the planet" going on to say, "Let me testify to that, he was. Seldom in my life have I met a dumber man."

Well, now this "dumb man" has popped up on the Glenn Beck show to demand that Obama tell Spain to back off from prosecuting himself and others for war crimes.

Beck and Feith are pretending that Feith and others only "gave advice" and that, should prosecution go ahead, that it will be "without precedence". This is, of course, nonsense.

If the host nation will not charge officials who have engaged in war crimes, then it is incumbent on other nations to do so. That is simply international law. Feith and Beck might not like international law, indeed, they might vehemently disagree with it, but they really need to stop pretending that this is "without precedence".

It's not. It's what we all agreed to when we signed up to the UN Convention Against Torture. And, in the case of the US, those rules were accepted by that well known radical leftist Ronald Reagan. It really is a sign of how extreme the Bush administration were that they are balking at things which even Reagan agreed to.
