Cantor: I Can't Agree with Rush on 'Fail'

Eric Cantor has said that he doesn't agree with Rush Limbaugh's desire that Obama should fail. Can we start a sweep stake on how long it will take him to recant that statement?

Bobby Jindal is already doing somersaults of delight because Steele has been forced to recant and is declaring Rush to be "a great leader for conservatives".

What's simply extraordinary to me is that, at a time of impending global financial collapse, to wish for Obama to fail is to wish financial Armageddon on all of our heads. It's simply the most irresponsible thing I have ever heard.

And the argument which Rush makes, that the Democrats wanted Bush to fail, is simply dishonest. When 2 million people, myself among them, marched through London to try and prevent the Iraq war, we were doing so to try and stop Bush from engaging in action that we felt sure would result in failure. We wanted to prevent that failure, we certainly did nothing to encourage it.

Rush is hoping that Obama will fail, we hoped that Bush would desist from taking action which would result in failure, there is a huge difference between the two.
