This Week: McCain Refuses To Endorse Palin in 2012.
Okay, so let me get this straight. Just a few weeks ago Palin was the ideal person to take over the presidency were anything to happen to John McCain... and now he can't even bring himself to endorse her if she ran in 2012?
STEPHANOPOULOS: You said, after the election, that Governor Palin has a bright future in your party. Does that mean that, if she does chooses to run for president, she can count on your support?Ouch. That's gotta hurt...
MCCAIN: Oh, no. Listen, I have the greatest appreciation for Governor Palin and her family, and it was a great joy to know them. [..]But I can't say something like that.
And I love that past tense when referring to, "It was a great joy to know them" as opposed to, "It is a great joy to know them".
Palin has served her purpose as far as McCain is concerned and she can now bugger off back to Alaska.
