President Elect Obama 1st Interview Since the Election
Part 1.
Part 2.
There's obviously more of this interview to come although I can't, at the moment, find any more of it online.
It is however a welcome change to listen to an intelligent, thoughtful, president. And, especially, to listen to a president vowing to close Guantanamo Bay and ensure that the US does not engage in torture. And, unlike Bush, we know that when Obama says the US will not torture that he is not relying on his own definition of what torture is. It will be torture as defined by international law.
It really is like we are getting America back again.

Kel, I hope so..part of me suspects that in certain areas, (foreign policy) we'll be in the same boat..stil, I know what you're saying. He's intelligent for crying out loud. He's smart. He's MODERN!! It struck me when he was being interviewed on 60minutes with Obama how much they as a couple were like so many of us 'regular' people. Not that relatability ought to account for being right for the job of President, but finally, an intelligent person at the helm..wow..it is just pure joy to listen to him instead of this nincompoop Bush..what an embarrassment he was/is..tsk tsk..

Ingrid, There are bound to be areas where he will disappoint, but at least he will be attempting to do the right thing rather than following some neo-con agenda.
And, like yourself, I suspect that foreign policy might be the area, especially Israel/Palestine, although I hope to be proved wrong.
