McCain campaign defends people who shout, "Kill him!"

The McCain campaign is now officially insane. Faced with growing criticism of the behaviour of some parts of the McCain crowds - who shout things like, "kill him", "terrorist", and "off with his head" - the McCain team have tried to turn this into an attack on Obama:

“Barack Obama’s attacks on Americans who support John McCain reveal far more about him than they do about John McCain. It is clear that Barack Obama just doesn’t understand regular people and the issues they care about. He dismisses hardworking middle class Americans as clinging to guns and religion, while at the same time attacking average Americans at McCain rallies who are angry at Washington, Wall Street and the status quo."
There are many things they could have said. They could have disowned those parts of the crowd and stated that they could not be responsible for every cry that comes from an overexcited gathering at a time of great economic upheaval. But no, they have chosen to attack Obama as not understanding "regular people and the issues they care about".

So they are choosing to defend people issuing death threats and stating that anyone who is offended by such behaviour doesn't understand ordinary Americans and their concerns.

Who the Hell is running this campaign? It's the nuttiest thing I have ever witnessed.

Here we see McCain try to dampen some of the nasty flames which his campaign have encouraged. The audience boo him when he states that he respects Obama.

They react with horror when McCain states that they do not have to be "scared" of Obama. At one point McCain has to actually remove the microphone from the hand of a woman who states that Obama is "an Arab".

The one thing that is crystal clear is that these "ordinary Americans" who support McCain are amongst the most ignorant people that one has ever come across. Who could believe that "an Arab" could run for the US presidency?

The McCain camp have done everything in their power to put forward the notion that Obama is not an "ordinary American", that he sees America differently than they do, that he hangs around with terrorists who plan to do America harm.

Indeed, they even condemn Obama for his lack of understanding of "ordinary Americans" by objecting to the perfectly normal American desire that he should have his head removed.

As you sow, so shall you reap.

The McCain campaign have never had a clear message and it's obvious that his supporters understand very little other than Obama is a dangerous threat. Now who put that idea into their heads I wonder?

I think that if ANYTHING happens to Mr. Obama..ANY attempts on his life or safety, etc. John McCain and Sarah Palin should be found guilty of inciting to riot or cause harm to another HUMAN being !!!! THEY are dangerous and thier HATE campaign should be STOPPED for the American good. To have a Presidential Candidate resort to these LOW and disgusting ploys is BENEATH the American Way.

It actually reminds me of the behaviour of Netanyahu shortly before the murder of Yitzhak Rabin.

There was talk at the time that Netanyahu should face prosecution for what he did. And Palin and McCain are getting near to that point themselves.
