Palin's daughter is pregnant. Apparently abstinence instead of education doesn't work.

Sarah Palin's daughter is apparently pregnant.
She's 17 and unmarried but has plans to marry the young man, which is reassuring for a religious person like Palin. However, the sex before marriage bit must gall her just a little. Fortunately, it's something for which she should take full responsibility.
Sex education might have helped prevent this kind of thing. Or if only they had used contraceptives. Unfortunately, Sarah Palin was against that:
Q: Will you support funding for abstinence-until-marriage education instead of for explicit sex-education programs, school-based clinics, and the distribution of contraceptives in schools?How did the abstinence work out then Sarah?
SP: Yes, the explicit sex-ed programs will not find my support.
