Matthews vs Buchanan Dust Up Over Palin Media Coverage

Pat Buchanan sums up why Palin is unsuited for the role of VP by reminding us that, "She's never been on national TV before." Yes, that's usually a good sign of suitability for a VP. Matthews wants to know when Buchanan became the "foster father of all female politicians".

And Matthews does well to take him to task for attacking the way the media have picked on Sarah Palin after the Republicans have treated the Clintons like bird dogs for twenty years.

It's simply fantastic entertainment to listen to Pat bloody Buchanan ask, "What's your problem with strong women?"

Priceless...

And Matthews is right. Buchanan's crocodile tears are so fraudulent.

And Buchanan is saying that the McCain campaign owe the public nothing and they can't make Palin answer questions. It's bizarre. Maybe they intend to simply send her back to Alaska until election day.

I "love" this idea that you're not allowed to ask questions of a person when, basically, hiring them for a job. I'm wondering, if I showed up at one of the many companies run by high level Republicans, and applied for a job, would I be able to get any job I wanted, regardless of qualification, simply by identifying myself as a Republican and having a list of attributes to prove it?

Exactly Dave. And it's simply priceless to see Pat Buchanan present himself as the only man willing to defend "strong women".

Strong women who find it impossible to make themselves available to be scrutinised by the press in the time honoured fashion. Indeed, it's sexist to even ask that they do.

The last I read Palin had skulked back to Alaska. Will she ever make herself available to answer questions I wonder?

Or is she waiting until Joe Lieberman schools her in all the answers?
