Daily Mail: Scots are foreign.

Unbelievable. From that right wing Tory rag, The Daily Mail, discussing Andy Murray's exit from Wimbledon:

Could there, though, be another explanation for our reluctance to accept Murray into our hearts?

The thought has been troubling me these past few days that part of the reason some of us have found it difficult to like him is that he is so obviously Scottish.

Where once Tim Henman, that perfect specimen of English respectability and decency, was the focus of our hopes, we have found it something of a challenge to identify with his successor, a surly Scot.

He seems - how can I say this? - slightly foreign.

And people have the nerve to wonder why so many Scots want independence?
