Liz Trotta apologizes.

She has, at least, had the good sense to come out and offer a full apology. Hillary should take note of what a full apology looks like.

I've posted on contacting Pelosi and Reid. I'm sure no one will take a stand to speak up that this assassination issue is NOT ok but how about setting an example? Culturally, Americans seem to continuously get the message that the end justifies the means. It's utterly ridiculous..

btw.. Mash wrote something interesting about Trotta. Apparently, she at least has something to show for with her life's work as a journalist. (docstranglove)

Ingrid,

I have read what both you and Mash have said on the subject. My only comments on Trotta are that she has apologised and that Hillary has not. And I do think Trotta's simply a right wing fool who thought she was making a joke to cover up calling Obama "Osama". However, Hillary only offered an apology if I have caused offence.

I slightly disagree with Mash's reading of this but only by degree. I agree that Hillary does not make mistakes, but I don't think she's saying "They might kill Obama and I'm ready if they do!" I think she's sending a message to the super delegates saying, "We all know what might happen and it's on your hands if it does."

It's like Bill mentioning Jesse Jackson in South Carolina, they both know exactly what they are doing. And, yes, I find it utterly despicable.

When you talk of setting an example, do you think I should do a post on it? I did write about it at the time although, admittedly, I hadn't quite worked out what I thought she was doing at that point, I merely pointed out how appalled I was that she could even say such a thing.

Kel, I shouldn't be checking the blogs 'cause I'm super busy but I couldn't resist. So my short answer is; I think you're a much better writer than I am and anything that you can contribute would be just adding to the hopefully, many drops in the bucket..
thx!

Ingrid,

It's late here. But tomorrow, I promise you, I'll give you my take on Hillary and assassination and disgraceful electioneering!
