I am a victim, not a monster, says Josef Fritzl
Unbelievable.
Josef Fritzl, the man who imprisoned his own daughter in a cellar for twenty four years and repeatedly raped her, leading to her giving birth to seven children, has complained that the press coverage of the case has been "unfair and entirely one dimensional".
There's obviously a more humane side to Fritzl which the evil press are refusing to report.Speaking through his lawyer, Rudolf Mayer, who visited him in prison, Fritzl said: "I am no monster, I could have killed all of them and no one would have known. No one would ever have found out about it."
See, he's really a gem at heart. No doubt the press should have called him a non-murderer rather than emphasising his past actions as a rapist and kidnapper.

Sickening.
However, the things he is reportedly saying are so typical of the things that child abusers do say - the self-pity, the declaration that actually they were being terribly restrained and could have done so much more - that his words actually provide further evidence of his guilt.
If he is declared to be mentally ill then it will be an absolute disgrace.
I bet they try for insanity but I doubt that would hold any water. And, as you say, it's his rampant self pity which is so repugnant.
