The Hunt for McCain's VP.

Isn't it odd that these guys all said that they couldn't be VP because they feel they are all too old for the position?

* Sen. Thad Cochran (R-Miss.) — “When I was much younger I would have probably said, ‘Sure, I’ll be glad to accept it,’ but I’m 70 years [old] and they need a younger person for the job. I would probably tell them, ‘Look for somebody else.’ ”

* Sen. Pete Domenici (R-N.M.) — “No. I’m too old.”

* Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) — “I’m too old to be vice president. But I am young enough to be reelected to the Senate.”
Senator McCain is 71. If elected he would be the oldest person ever to be made President. I note this only to point out that this election is unique in that is it guaranteed to make history. We will either have the first woman, the first black man or the oldest person ever to be elected to the office.

Which excites people the most I wonder?

Hat tip to Crooks and Liars.
