Did Hillary also reassure Canada about NAFTA?
Hillary made a big thing out of a member of Obama's team contacting Canada to say that his NAFTA remarks were political positioning and that Canada shouldn't take them too seriously.
It now turns out that Hillary's team appear to have been doing the exact same thing:
At the end of an extended conversation, Mr. Brodie was asked about remarks aimed by the Democratic candidates at Ohio's anti-NAFTA voters that carried serious economic implications for Canada.Hillary made a great play out of the fact that Obama appeared to have been behaving in a hypocritical manner, but if her team was issuing the same reassurances to the Canadians - at the very time when she is making public statements about Obama's deceitfulness - then her hypocrisy would appear to be of a much larger magnitude.
Since 75 per cent of Canadian exports go to the U.S., Mr. Obama and Ms. Clinton's musings about reopening the North American free-trade pact had caused some concern.
Mr. Brodie downplayed those concerns.
"Quite a few people heard it," said one source in the room.
"He said someone from (Hillary) Clinton's campaign is telling the embassy to take it with a grain of salt. . . That someone called us and told us not to worry."
Government officials did not deny the conversation took place.
This might explain why the Canadian Prime Minister, Stephen Harper has said, "The way the leak was executed was blatantly unfair to Senator Obama and his campaign."

Hillary is playing it real dirty. Did you hear about her campaign blackening Obama's and stretching his face as to make him appear more black and having thick lips ? It was on daily Kos yesterday...
As for Harper, we Canadians are ashamed of him. He is mean, he is divisive, and he is a mix of Bush and Cheney at the same time...but in miniature because he won't express his full ideology since he knows that Canadians will not accept extremists. For now he is hiding the extent of his true ugly nature.

It's horrendous behaviour on Hillary's part. And yes, I did see the blackening of Obama on Daily Kos yesterday. She really is simply doing the Republicans job for them at the moment.
