Bolton Not Swayed in the Slightest by the NIE on Iran
What a surprise.... He says the report was written mainly by "former state department employees" now calling themselves "members of the intelligence community" and that they are overreacting to the failure to find WMD in Iraq.
In other words the fact that people like Bolton lied before the Iraq war has made the intelligence community less likely to accept their claims at face value now. He is also given a chance to revisit his recent claims that ElBaradei was "an apologist for Iran". He declines to do so...

Why does a howler monkey like Bolton even get any airtime? He's an obvious nut-job, and everytime he opens his mouth he adds proof of the deep flaws contained within the Bush Administration.
Ohhhh, wait, "everytime he opens his mouth" in the liberal media. I get it, now. (just thought I'd beat your resident kool-aid drinker to the punch)
I agree totally Dave. Nutjobs like Bolton and Kristol are always given air time by the "Liberal media", despite the fact that an astonishing number of their previous "expert" comments turned out to be shameful baloney which helped the Bush administration send literally thousands of people to their deaths.
And Jason, the resident kool-aid drinker, has only recently returned after he ran away from a thread which outlined his appalling defence of torture.
I think he's simply a troll. Your thoughts on the matter would be appreciated.
Ha, I love that expression: troll. Kel, this is a somewhat feisty side of you I am not too-well acquainted with. I dig. :)
Will, I was not aware that I have been hiding my feisty side, but I am glad you approve of it!
Ha! I must admit that I have not read every post of yours lately. Although it's a pleasure to get reacquainted with your news coverage and commentary. And hey, I like this Jason character! Is he new around these parts?
Will,
He's been around for about a year. He's one of those strange American phenomenons, a supposed "independent" who goes out on a limb to defend every Bush policy no matter how immoral or illegal.
It's strange, here in the UK claiming to have no political affiliation would mark you as a political moron, but in the US it appears to be taken to suggest that you are "open minded", which I presume is why so many people like Jason embrace it like a badge of honour.
As I say, I find someone not knowing where they stand politically to be slightly odd. But perhaps that's because I'm British. Politics and class have always been so intertwined here that people quickly identify who best looks after their interests.
That is interesting, Kel! I did not know that about England. Yeah, here in the States, at least, if you do a poll asking 1. Do you consider yourself to be an independent thinker?" followed by a number of stock questions, you will find that almost all will say yes to the first question, and then go on to mostly agree about the subsequent questions. There's something kind of scientific out there that demonstrates this fact. Makes me wonder, "Am I really as interesting as I think I am?" Probably not, sadly. My ego suffers for that news. It hurts.
