Right to Life

This short film juxtaposes images from the Iraq War with two evangelists' views on the value of life; Many members of the religious right are fervent Bush supporters. But, to support him, they must ignore their faith.

WARNING: There are some images in this film that you might find disturbing.

Hat tip to Crooks and Liars.

It's easy to marvel at the ignorance of these guys but the second guy to me really seemed to be mulling it over.

You have to give the 2nd guy credit for not trying to justify like the first guy, he simply admitted "I didn't think about that". I would hope that next time he votes he'll be thinking about all the issues, not just one.

And for the guys that still don't get it, at least Barack Obama gives an alternative choice to vote for- that is if they have nothing against dark-skinned people.

Alex,

I agree that the second guy appeared poleaxed by the question.

The first guy was simply moronic. He thinks people object to the Iraq war in an attempt to bring Bush down and he supports anything Bush does because he believes he prays before he does things.

He admits that he's not political, but surely he could work harder at being a member of the human race?

The one thing Jesus had was empathy, the ability to imagine oneself in another person's position. The first guy didn't appear to have ever given a thought for another person in his life.
