Colin Powell: I would shut Guantanamo down this afternoon

Powell shows yet again why he was always the brightest member of the Bush administration and why his appearance before the United Nations to make that speech shocked so many of us.



He also says that, if they knew then what they know now, that the US would not have invaded Iraq.



And that, prior to the war, the Bush administration was well aware of the problems the U.S. may face in Iraq after the fall of Sadam Hussein, but did not prepare enough to meet those challenges.
