O'Reilly Blames the Victim.
O'Reilly is plumbing new depths, even by his own previously rock bottom standards. He is now blaming kidnap victim, Shawn Hornbeck, for not escaping claiming that he stayed with his abductor "because it was exciting".
O'Reilly then tells us that he "doesn't buy the Stockholm Syndrome".
This is breathtaking. I seriously don't understand why somone would want to be this offensive. It's not even as if he is making some right-wing point, it's simply a mind-numbingly dumb allegation.
Hat tip to Crooks and Liars.
UPDATE:
Media Matters covers O'Reilly's claim during his programme.
From the January 17 edition of Fox News' The O'Reilly Factor:Watch it for yourself and decide if this man is telling the truth or not.
Judy Osborne, Clarksville, Tennessee: "O'Reilly, I wanted to give you another chance to rectify the awful remarks you made about Shawn Hornbeck. However, your arrogance is never ending."
O'Reilly: I made no awful remarks, madam -- just asked questions.
