Wilson and Plame sue Cheney and White House aides
You can hear the outrage of Coulter, O'Reilly, Malkin and others before the court case even begins.
Joe Wilson and Valerie Plame are suing Dick Cheney, Lewis Libby, Karl Rove and 10 other unnamed government personnel with conducting a "whispering campaign" designed to injure them and to discourage others from speaking out.
All Hell is about to break loose.
Their success is almost guaranteed as there is hardly a person left standing on the planet who disputes the fact that there was a campaign to discredit them. Indeed, many on the right have defended the governments actions and implied that what they did was almost their patriotic duty.
We now - here on Planet Bush - seem to inhabit a place where dissent is punishable as a "thought crime".
And just as Bush lost when Guantanamo was put under a judicial spotlight, so I fully expect will Cheney, Rove and Libby lose when put under similar scrutiny.
What's interesting here is that the courts are proving far more effective as a restraint on government excess than the Senate or the opposition. If only the Democrats had the balls of Joe Wilson.
