Mark Noonan Calls for Censure

Whilst following today's story about DeLay I inadvertently stumbled into the Republican blog: Blog For Bush.

I might as well have entered a different quantum time zone. Apparently Mark Noonan, the owner of this prestigious online journal, would like to see Congress censure....

...Senator Russ Feingold.

His crime is giving some kind of succour to the enemeis (sic) of the United States.

Given that the only possible beneficiaries of such an action are the terrorist enemeis of the United States, I believe that we should urge the Senate to censure Senator Feingold for giving aid and comfort to the enemy.
This is an interesting take on what's happening. I would have thought that the fact that the American Constitution is written to limit the power of the executive and ensure that no President ever assumes the powers of a King is in the interests of all Americans.

What could possibly be more patriotic than upholding the constitution? Indeed, upholding the very constitution that President Bush was sworn into office to defend.

He goes on:

It is way past time that we started holding Democrats accountable for their actions. For too long they have been able to slander President Bush, the Bush Administraiton, the American military and our allies in the War on Terrorism with no consequences for their destructive actions. How many people are dead today because the Democrats have chosen to use the war as a partisan political issue? How many more will die in the future because of it?

Now read the above carefully. (I know, it's so illogical it makes your head hurt.) People are dying, not because Bush embarked on an illegal war whilst ignoring international law, they are dying because Democrats have chosen to make the war "a partisan political issue."

The lack of water and electricity, coupled with the shame of occupation, are not enough to incense the Iraqis. But hearing a Democrat express doubt about the way the Bush administration is handling the occcupation apparently sends them into suicide bombing frenzies! They won't hear a word against their liberator!

My favourite though is this:
Every time a senior Democrats gets up in public and calls for an immediate withdrawal, or accuses American soldiers of abuses.
I'm sorry!?!? It's the Democrats who accuse the military of abuses? I'm so sorry, Mark. Thank you for informing me. I had previously thought the scandal started when disgraceful pictures appeared showing the disgusting practices being carried out at Abu Ghraib. I now understand, from your comments, that those pictures must have been taken and released by Feingold and the rest of those Commies. What a bunch of bastards, eh?

He then goes on and supplies a letter to be copied to your local Congressman to start the campaign off.

It's as deluded as it is hysterical.

The other thing that's most noticeable about his post is that he makes no attempt to actually mount a defence of Bush's conduct. He simply expresses outrage that the conduct of The Great Leader could even be questioned in the first place.

If these are Bush's online defenders, he's in bigger trouble than I realised.
