Abbas says Olmert's plan will trigger new war within decade

I have always said that I thought the Kadima party's intentions of imposing a solution to the Israel-Palestine crisis is doomed to failure.

For Israel, unilaterally, to attempt to impose final solution borders - with no consultations with the Palestinians - ought to be recognised as the illegal land grab that it is.

And the US, led by George Bush, are not being a true friend of Israel when they support such idiocy. True friends tell you when they think you are wrong, Bush's US seems too frightened of AIPAC to assume such a role.

And now Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas has stated that, if Israel attempt such a solution, there will be war with a decade.

"The Israelis say: 'OK, we'll impose a unilateral solution' - which means that they will postpone, delay ... and they will not solve the problem," Abbas said in Gaza City in an interview with several European and North American newspapers.

"After 10 years our sons will feel it is unfair and they will return back to the struggle," he added.
