Fox News: ‘It’s Too Late…We’re Already Probably At War With Iran’
The good people at Fox are questioning whether the US is already at war with Iran but that the world simply doesn't realise this yet.
This was certainly Fox News's Neil Cavuto's proclamation in his opening remarks on his programme which you can hear by clicking on the link at related articles.
What is it with these people?
The simple fact is that the US is too stretched militarily in Iraq to do anything about Iran.
But these buggers are simply relentless. We've heard the neo-cons talk of Iran's imminent acquirement of a nuclear weapon which, in reality, is at least ten years away.
And now they link Iran and al Qaeda and claim that bin Laden is being hidden in Iran. (See related articles.) Echoes of the lies that preceded the invasion of Iraq abound.
But, in their arrogance, they are forgetting that Iran doesn't have to play by their rules.
For example, Iran has swore that any action against it will be met with a response that the world will never forget. What can they mean?
I have a theory. It's really simple. Ask yourself what you would do if you were in Iran's position and the world's only hyperpower was letting you know that it had you in it's sights once it had finished up business in Iraq?
Wanna know what I would do? I'd invade Iraq.
It makes perfect sense. Why wait until your enemy is ready to attack you?
The US has only 120,000 troops in the region and they have proven themselves unable to contain the insurgency - who are vehemently opposed to the occupation. An invasion from Iran would be unstoppable and, as large parts of the population are Shia, it could actually be labelled a "liberation".
These right wing nutcases are playing with fire. They should stop crowing from the top of the hill and ask themselves what they would do if they were in their enemies shoes.
But that action would require empathy; sadly, a quality missing in ALL Republicans.
