Bush Aides Rush to Enact a Safety Rule Obama Opposes.
It's like he's the personification of evil. In his last weeks in office Bush is rushing through a new rule, strenuously opposed by Barack Obama, which would make it much harder for the government to regulate toxic substances and hazardous chemicals to which workers are exposed on the job.
And this is only one of twenty such rules that Bush is pushing for.The rule, which has strong support from business groups, says that in assessing the risk from a particular substance, federal agencies should gather and analyze “industry-by-industry evidence” of employees’ exposure to it during their working lives. The proposal would, in many cases, add a step to the lengthy process of developing standards to protect workers’ health.
Public health officials and labor unions said the rule would delay needed protections for workers, resulting in additional deaths and illnesses.
Deny workers protection and allow the devastation of the environment, what a fitting legacy for this pygmy of a president.The Labor Department proposal is one of about 20 highly contentious rules the Bush administration is planning to issue in its final weeks. The rules deal with issues as diverse as abortion, auto safety and the environment.
One rule would make it easier to build power plants near national parks and wilderness areas. Another would reduce the role of federal wildlife scientists in deciding whether dams, highways and other projects pose a threat to endangered species.

Bush is the devil incarnate. He is not only promoting deaths and illnesses for workers, he is promoting a rule to continue his disregard to our environment. He wants people on medicaid to pay a steeper price for medication and doctors visits. Bush is the Scrooge that is promoting health care agents to not perform abortions if it goes against their morals. It seems far fetched but it makes you wonder if he was behind some of the recent terrorism. All I know is that he is just showing what kind of a liar, and the grand show he was pulling on the American public with welcoming our president elect. He honestly had us fooled.
